The Alcohol & Drug Addiction Services Board of Cuyahoga County is pleased to provide staff and funding to support Families And Schools Together (FAST) programs in elementary schools across our county. Based on a national model, FAST is an eight-week program for children in kindergarten through fifth grade and their families. This prevention program encourages parent-child interaction, improves parent-to-parent communication, and connects families to one another as well as to their communities and schools. By building these protective factors, FAST helps reduce the risks of school failure, juvenile delinquency and substance abuse during adolescence.
